Writing

I write for work and for myself. At work I wrote the blog: everything published before 2 July 2025 and a few posts since, including Solar Power, An Explanation, which starts at the photovoltaic effect in 1839 and works forward. The posts since then are someone else's. I've also been in the news: NSW solar battery rebate: what it means for homeowners, on The Wire.

Fiction is the hobby. I've written a novel, and decided not to publish it. Two shorter pieces are here in full:

• Locus Communis A short story. I stood at the river’s edge in the fading light. The letter was still in my coat pocket.
• The Tunnel Three scenes from a longer story. Whispers drifted through the abandoned tunnel, though no one had spoken there in years.
